STAMPED CONCRETE FLOORING

Today’s concrete is all about adding color and design for a high-end look at a budget price.

This is where Icon Enterprises Stamped Concrete fits your need. It synergizes the strength and durability of concrete, with the ability to replicate the look of natural stone, rock, ceramic, brick, and even wood, to obtain monolithic paving and good aesthetic results.

WHY CHOOSE?

It replicates the look of a natural material

A stamped concrete can replicate the look of natural materials, from brick to wood, stone, slate, and granite. Add to it, it comes in a wide array of colors, patterns, and textures. By creatively fusing them together, you can have a stamped concrete with a natural visual at a fraction of the cost.

It makes the flooring look truly gorgeous

The variety of patterns and finishes is almost limitless. Think of a custom design and what can be done with an Icon Enterprises skilled installer. You can have a unique design with a look, using various types of coloring and texturing systems like colored acids or decorative rosettes. Simply put, there are no limitations to what can be done further.

It is easy to customize and add a color

Most businesses have colors that represent their brand. At times, the color can be changed but they can be costly. However, this is not case with stamped concrete. You can get the color changed as well as customize it to any color you like. This way, it is also easy to have uniformity on the floors, walls, and stairs.

It is environment-friendly

Global warming is a burning issue across the world. Stamped concrete as a green and sustainable flooring option, conserves resources by functioning as a foundation and finished floor. More importantly, it also helps in preserving energy and improving indoor air quality.

It is strong and robust

Being extremely resilient, it is difficult to damage. Its denser, solid continuous surface does not allow anything to grow-up through the cracks. Nor can things like high heels, pet claws, or heavy furniture legs spoil its surface.

Icon Cemant Art imprinted concrete is treated with special color hardeners before moulding, resulting in protective layers which elongate its life whilst doubling its normal abrasion and wear resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

A. Selecting the proper texture is very important for the overall success of stamped concrete flooring. Always factor in the end-use when making your selection. For instance, if the tables and chairs are to be located on the stamped concrete, then lighter textures should be avoided at all costs. Similarly, if the area has high foot-traffic or requires a non-slip surface, then opt for aggressive texture or pattern. You also need to factor in aspects like matching flooring in sync with the type of natural stone or hardscape materials and flora in and around the area vide the right color scheme.

A. Wash the floor periodically with water and a standard neutral (sans acidic content) detergent. Then the slab can be kept clean by sweeping it at regular intervals.

It is also recommended to apply a new coat of protective resin on stamped concrete at periodic intervals, factoring in the type of traffic it handles. This will keep it protected and beautiful.

Once in 5-8 years, it is recommended to carry out extraordinary maintenance.

A. It is recommended to

• Power-wash the stamped concrete twice a year.

• Keep dirt and other stains off the concrete to extend its life and color.

• Reseal the concrete every 1-2 years. This will help protect the coloring.

• Shovel off the stamped concrete when it snows.

• Refrain from using salt or sand on stamped concrete.

A. Yes, it does to an extent. In such an eventuality, it is recommended to first remove oil marks with soap and water as soon as possible and then apply resin properly over the affected flooring portion.

A. Generally it is slip-resistant. Most stamped flooring’s are not slippery and in fact have more texture than a standard broom finish.

In areas that get wet often, it is recommended to add a non-slip additive (not visible to the eye) to the sealer which acts as an extra form of grip to prevent slipping.

In case, you have issues of slipping, just contact our team who will make sure that you have the additive in your sealer.

A. Icon Cemant Art Stamped Concrete contains lime-proof pigments with the maximum resistance to fading and shading. Further, the finish is monolithic and incorporated within the concrete itself, which makes the slabs stay unaltered overtime.

In countries with very hot climates like India, its aesthetic characteristics have proven themselves and stayed visually unimpaired.

A. In general, yes. However, it is important to assess the quality and type of screed on which the new flooring is supposed to be glued.

A. Yes, it is possible in areas with cold climates, subject to freezing / thawing cycles or close to sea water. In such an eventuality, it is necessary to apply a special sealant to the stamped flooring. This will make the surface water salt repellent and also resistant to extreme agents.

A. It is extremely cost-effective and affordable.
• Price per square metre is the full price. This means no additional ancillary costs like curbs, edgings, etc.
• Screed and finish can be created in a single phase.
• Personalization of the shapes and colors do not need additional costs.

A. It is a dry powder that blends in specialty cements, pigments, sand, and additives that are broadcast on plastic concrete. Inserted into the concrete with trowels, until the surface has achieved a uniform color, it is often used for stamped concrete as well as imprint concrete.

A. Generally, it is long-lasting, say for about 20 plus years that is if taken care of properly.

The right preparation and concrete mix will help extend the life of the slab. Add to this, if properly prepped, poured, and maintained, then the stamped concrete can last for years.
